Competitive prices, convenient location
Just blocks from the Northwest Expressway, Brookhaven West isn’t exactly hidden so much as overlooked. But the community is a “sweet little neighborhood if you take a minute to drive through it,” says Chip Adams, owner of Adams Family Real Estate. One of the “vast collections of classic, suburban neighborhoods in this part of town,” Brookhaven West is popular with homebuyers for its reasonable home sizes, competitive prices, and convenient location. About 3 miles from Lake Hefner’s iconic parks and rec scene, residents are well positioned to enjoy OKC’s urban atmosphere and natural beauty.
Highly sought-after, established homes
As an older, established community in the northwestern quadrant of OKC, Brookhaven West’s homes mainly were constructed between the 1970s and 80s. “The neighborhood mostly consists of single-story ranch styles,” Adams notes. “Many homebuyers are interested because you get the location without too much house.” Brookhaven West’s three to four-bedroom brick ranch-style homes typically fall between 1,200 and 2,500 square feet, displaying sizable backyards with matching brick patios or raised wooden decks. Listing for $200,000 to $300,000, these properties fall slightly below the median price for OKC and other northwestern suburbs, making it a highly sought-after landing place.
