Straightforward suburban life in west Edmond
Sometimes the best ways of life can be the ones where what one sees is what one gets. Copper Creek, a subdivision within the growing west Edmond area, promises a straightforward lifestyle ideal for families and those seeking an easygoing lifestyle removed from Oklahoma City’s bustle. “It’s just a lovely, traditional suburban neighborhood with a very neighborly atmosphere. Copper Creek is one of those real nice places that’s just exactly what it looks like; there’s no surprises. It’s affordable and it has all the amenities you’d expect in an Edmond neighborhood, and it’s in a great location,” says Dorene Shadid, a Realtor with Metro First Realty. Shadid has more than 10 years of experience selling homes in the Oklahoma City metro area.
Traditional and farmhouse styles with modern touches
The homes of Copper Creek share a unified architectural style. New traditional exteriors with cobblestone sides, pitched roofs and single-level floorplans make up most of the homes nearby, alongside a select few homes with Prairie-style influences. “When they’re painted white and have wood accents, a lot of the homes look real farmhouse-y, but some of them have a much more modern flair,” Shadid says. The area’s oldest properties date back to the early 1990s, while a significant number of them are more recent builds from the late 2000s to today. Prices start around $200,000 and top out near the $500,000 mark.
