Planned communities surrounded by Oklahoma farmland
Like almost everywhere else in Oklahoma City, Country Place is laid out in an easy-to-navigate grid. This planned community's brick homes, square grassy lawns and retention ponds sits right next to the intersection of Interstate 35 and Interstate 240, taking locals into downtown Oklahoma City and to shopping centers in each direction. “Country Place is a great community to raise kids and whatnot,” says John Upshaw, Realtor with Upshaw Real Estate Group. His family built their home in Country Place and stayed for a decade. “What we liked about it was the location, easy access to the highway, airport and all. We were in a cul-de- sac and within that street of 14 homes was a community within a community. We would host barbeques together as a block.”
Modern Craftsmans and the occasional ranch in Country Place
Homes on the flat Country Place stretch range from ranches on the outskirts with sprawling acres of farmland to French country-style and French Colonial builds. The former will go for give-or-take $450,000, and the latter ranges from $500,000 to $625,000. However, most streets are lined with brick Modern Craftsmans with two or three-car garages, uniform front lawns, and ample backyard space or private docks. Prices for these range from $300,000 to $350,000.
