Suburban living close to downtown OKC
Southeast of Oklahoma City’s Midwest City and Del City suburbs, Frolich Meadows Estates is a quiet section of the city with single-family homes and modest lawns. The neighborhood offers a peaceful subdivision living experience on the outskirts of the city, with added convenience for military personnel and the aerospace industry thanks to its close proximity to Tinker Air Force Base. Just north of this Oklahoma City suburb, Tinker is the largest single-site employer in Oklahoma, with more than 30,000 active-duty military and civilian contractors working on base. Major employers like Northrop Grumman, Boeing and Amazon all have a major presence in the area as well, and commuting to the Tinker area takes less than 3 miles on the road.
“The real difference out here is the people,” says Paul Mazzalongo, a Realtor with Pioneer Realty. Mazzalongo has sold homes for more than 12 years and is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. “It’s not weird for someone to say hello to you when you’re walking down the street. It’s got that down-home vibe.”
