Lakeside recreation near Lakeview

Lakeview, despite its name, may not offer a direct line of sight to the water, but its main attraction is still Lake Hefner, less than a mile away. “We all love Lake Hefner,” says Amanda Kirkpatrick-Lawler. “That’s the best place to go and ride your bikes around the lake. You’re right near the lake in the neighborhood.” The neighborhood also stands out with its midcentury aesthetic, while its location northwest of Oklahoma City is appealingly close to shopping hotspots and commuter highways.

A traditional neighborhood feel

Classic brick ranch-style homes line the gently curved residential streets through much of Lakeview. As is common in northwest Oklahoma City, the neighborhood showcases a midcentury aesthetic, with most homes built in the 1960s. Further south, split-level homes mix in with one-story ranch-style builds, and an apartment complex is located in the northeast corner of the neighborhood. Homes typically sell between the low and high $200,000s. “If you want to do some renovations and really make a home your own, you can find that here, or you can find homes that have already been updated,” says Kristina Moosavi, a Realtor with Re/Max Lifestyle. “It’s a good variety, leaning just slightly towards being a little dated.”
