There are many things that will grab your attention as you drive through Piedmont Wycliffe. Mature hardwood trees provide abundant shade. Wide sidewalks encourage walking along the tranquil streets. Cul-de-sacs provide privacy and a bit of safety for little ones riding bikes. But the most distinctive feature visitors can’t help but notice is the wide variety of home styles throughout. You will not see a lot of repetition from home to home here. Instead, you’ll be delighted by choices and options. Just some of the designs you'll see here are ranch-styles, Dutch Colonials, Colonial Revivals, New Traditionals, expansive split-levels and a handful of striking postmodern homes with exaggerated rooflines and varying window shapes.

And that’s not all. “Almost every home in the neighborhood has views of the rolling hills,” says Marty Cohen, Realtor with BHHS Ambassador Real Estate. “People really love the scenery here. In fact, the surrounding geography is one of our best selling points.” Recent home listings range from about $320,000 to $450,000. A four-bedroom brick New Traditional with a gabled roof was recently offered for $420,000. A four-bedroom, two-story traditional home with high ceilings, two decks and two fireplaces was recently listed for $369,900.

Piedmont Wycliffe is in the Millard School District, which is considered one of the best in the state. Cottonwood Elementary is right in the neighborhood and has an A-minus rating from Niche. Kiewit Middle has an A-rating from Niche, offers extensive athletics, and a roster of special interest clubs including robotics, leadership and art. Millard North High is the only high school in the district that offers the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Program. It has also won the Blue-Ribbon Award from the U.S. Department of Education. Cottonwood Park’s 23 acres feature a baseball field, a basketball court, two tennis courts, walking paths and plenty of open space. Golfers will enjoy less than a five-minute drive to great courses including Pacific Springs and Champions Run.

Texas Roadhouse launched in 1993 and now has three Omaha locations. They’re known for their “legendary” steaks and ribs. Try their bone-in ribeye or their famous salmon Caesar salad. Mama’s Pizza is a local favorite known for its fresh-baked pizza and for being an excellent gathering spot for celebrations and gatherings. Stories Coffee offers roasted gourmet coffee beans and is notable for giving back to non-profit local organizations.

With easy access to both the Route 6 Expressway and Pacific Street, shopping trips are a breeze. Mainstream Boutique is a family-owned franchise that offers multi-generation fashions and accessories for women. Mesh offers chic apparel and well-priced accessories. Nearby grocery and gourmet shopping is abundant near Piedmont Wycliffe. Pepperwood Village is at 155th and West Dodge Street hosts professional services, restaurants and grocery stores including Baker’s. Le Petit Paris French Bakery is the spot for tarts, quiches and macaroons. Get there by 10 a.m. Friday through Sunday for their freshly made artisan breads, or they will sell out. When you settle into your new home, Target has the essentials you’ll need including groceries and kitchen and bath items.

Commuting downtown is about as easy as it gets as West Dodge Road is at the north edge of the neighborhood. Just head to I-680 to link up with I-80, and you’re less than a 20-minute drive to downtown Omaha in good traffic. An easy commute is just one more asset to living in Piedmont Wycliffe. It allows you to get home swiftly and have more time to enjoy your new home and its unbeatable panoramic views.
