Upscale Tudors and Colonial Revivals

Heather Hill's suburban streets wind over hills. The homes vary widely in price and size, but most are made of brick and were developed in the 1970s and 80s. Old-growth trees shade the well-maintained yards, which are between a quarter and half an acre. The neighborhood is mainly made up of brick ranch-style houses, but the neighborhood is also dotted with two-story Colonial Revivals, Tudor Revivals and French Provincial-style homes. Homes typically cost between $250,000 to $500,000.

Paducah has strong public schools

Clark Elementary School is less than 2 miles from Heather Hill and gets a B-plus from Niche. Kids often move on to the B-minus Paducah Middle School and graduate from Paducah Tilghman High School. The B-plus high school offers diverse classes in subjects like military science, welding and automation engineering.

Bob Noble Park and Paxton Golf Course

The 135-acre Bob Noble Park is about 3 miles away from the neighborhood. It includes amenities like basketball and tennis courts, baseball fields, forested trails, a dog park and a 5-acre lake with fishing piers. Paducah-based businesses host tournaments at the 18-hole Paxton Park Golf Course multiple times a year. Parents can enroll their children in the course’s PGA Junior League Program to receive coaching and play in youth tournaments. There are also popular outdoor spaces just beyond the city. “Paducah is 30 minutes or less from Kentucky Lake, one of the best fisheries around,” says Realtor Stewart Weisenberger, who sells homes in the area with Farmer & Company Real Estate. Paducah’s scenic riverfront follows the Ohio River, which is a source of employment, tourism and entertainment for many area residents. Events, concerts and festivals are held at the riverfront, and murals that depict the town’s history adorn the nearby floodwall.

Downtown fine dining options like Cynthia's Ristorante

Downtown Paducah is about 4 miles away and features fine dining options. Cynthia’s Ristorante serves Californian-influenced Italian fare with farm-fresh ingredients. Memorable features of the low-lit restaurant include its eclectic wine selection and exposed brick walls adorned with paintings by local artists. Clusters of dining options are also located along Hinkleville Road, immediately north of Heather Hill. Paducah’s downtown has a healthy arts scene. Carson Center for Performing Arts features musical touring acts and Broadway series. The Maiden Alley Cinema is a nonprofit theater that shows new and classic films. The arthouse theater operates in a refurbished brick warehouse. A neon-lit alleyway leads patrons to its front doors. Getting around Paducah

Park Avenue and Kentucky Avenue take commuters 5 miles east to Paducah’s downtown. For healthcare, Mercy Health is about 3 miles south. Nashville International Airport is 140 miles away via Interstate 24. Paducah does not have access to public transit, so Heather Hill residents rely on their cars.
