A central Palatine community

Located adjacent to Hicks Road and the Palatine Bike Trail, Willow Wood embodies the woodsy suburban vibe that homeowners enjoy in many of Chicago's northwest suburbs. This neighborhood is geographically central within the greater Palatine community, so connecting with the rest of the town is simple. Big-box shopping, well-kept parks and Metra access are a quick drive or walk down the sidewalks that trace past each home. "When potential homebuyers consider Palatine, they are looking at schools," says Nancy Funteas, Realtor with @properties concentrated in Arlington Heights and nearby areas. "The community fits a wide range of housing budgets, and there are nice parks nearby and a golf course."

Events at the local library and in Towne Square

Willow Wood residents are just around the corner from the well-loved Palatine Public Library, which was renovated in 2021 and hosts events from embroidery classes and baby storytime to ESL read-alongs and blood drives. "There's live music and food at the Palatine Street Fest too," says Funteas. "It's an annual outdoor event that takes place in August." With food trucks and beer vendors, this anticipated celebration takes place in Historic Palatine's Towne Square and buzzes with local rock and 80s cover bands singing their signature tunes. The square becomes a venue for the community's highly anticipated Oktoberfest celebration in September. German music, craft beer and cuisines are highlights of the event.
