Country club living with convenient access to beaches and amenities in Eastpointe

Luxury living is the theme of life in Eastpointe, a Palm Beach Gardens neighborhood that features grand Spanish Revival homes, top-tier golf courses, beautiful vistas and modern amenities. Eastpointe is home to two upscale country clubs, Eastpointe Country Club and Old Marsh Golf Club, that are private, gated residential communities. Houses sit on immaculately landscaped lawns with trimmed bushes and tall palms. A clear weather day can mean a dip in the pool, a round on the links, or match on the tennis courts, then relaxing with dinner and drinks in the clubhouse. Seth Honowitz, a Realtor with the Leibowitz Realty Group who’s been selling luxury homes in the area for more than 23 years, calls it “a haven for country club living.” He also notes the “lifestyle of convenience” the neighborhood offers. “No matter where you end up, you’re never more than 15 to 20 minutes from the beaches, fine restaurants, high end shopping, cultural activities, the airport, almost any place you want to go.”

Diverse luxury living options from condos to custom estates

Homes in Eastpointe Country Club are a “good value purchase,” according to Honowitz. The club hosts 875 homes, from one-bedroom condos that start around $340,000, to three- and four-bedroom, two-bathroom homes that list for more than $1 million. Spanish Revival and Neoclassical are the popular choices for style here; terra cotta tile roofs often adorn two-story, pale-colored homes, most of which sit on half-acre or one-acre lots. Old Marsh Golf Club has an “Old World charm” to it and is a “golfer’s paradise,” Honowitz says. Situated on preserved wetlands, Old Marsh is the smaller of the two clubs with only 180 single-family homes. Prices here range higher than Eastpointe Country Club because most homes are custom-built. A two-bedroom, two-bathroom ranch-style home can sell for $1.75 million. A home that comes with four bedrooms, four bathrooms and a three-car garage prices around $4.3 million; a custom estate with six bedrooms and eight bathrooms prices just under $10 million.

Upscale country club amenities and natural beauty

Living at either country club comes with the benefits of residential membership. Eastpointe Country Club features a total of 36 holes of golf on Tom Fazio-designed courses, plus putting greens and practice areas. For those who prefer exercise off the green, Eastpointe offers tennis and pickleball courts, a fitness center with professionally led classes and an outdoor pool with a 10,000-square-foot deck. Old Marsh Golf Club hosts a Pete Dye-designed, 7,000-yard championship golf course with a preferred caddy program and no tee times. A private clubhouse offers elegant furnishings in a tranquil atmosphere for socializing. Adjacent to Eastpointe sits Loxahatchee Slough Natural Area, the largest and most biodiverse natural area in Palm Beach County. The park features 12,957 acres of preserved land and nine native Florida ecosystems where you can see cranes, woodpeckers, butterflies and orchids. Take the trails through Sandhill Crane Park to the observation point, or tag along on a guided wildflower walk. Be prepared for soggy hikes during summer and fall, as the park contains marshes and swamps. There’s plenty of room for biking, hiking and paddling on the water, and because it’s so large, there aren’t many crowds to speak of.

Eastpoint has top-rated schools and early career prep

Students in the Eastpointe neighborhood attend A-rated schools that offer specialized programs beginning in kindergarten. Marsh Pointe Elementary School boasts reading and math proficiency levels higher than the state average, according to Public School Review. Independence Middle School encourages students to participate in career-focused academies, such as pre-law, pre-medicine, pre-teacher and pre-business. William T. Dwyer High School participates in the AICE program, an international advanced studies program designed by Cambridge University that allows students to earn college credits.

Convenient groceries and dining at Mirasol Walk shopping center

When you need to run errands or want a bite to eat away from clubhouse grounds, Mirasol Walk shopping center sits just a 10-minute drive south. Grab groceries at Publix, prescriptions at Walgreens and a latte at Starbucks. For a bite to eat, Hurricane Grill & Wings serves up classic bar fare. Stick around at Cucina Palm Beach for Kiss Me Thursdays, an after-hours party with DJ sets and dancing. For vegetarians, hearty options fill the menu at Plant Based Mafia, a mafia-themed 100% plant-based restaurant with fun menu titles like “The Big Bambino.”

Brightline rail system makes travel to Miami and Orlando faster

Driving is the main form of transportation in the area, but Honowitz notes the Brightline rail system, a highspeed train that runs from Miami to Orlando and points in between. Where you used to have to drive a few hours to reach these destinations, you can now reach them for dinner, to visit family, or attend a sporting event. “It’s been a game changer,” he says.
