Roy Park is a popular park in the area, established in the early-to-mid ‘70s, with updates throughout the years. “The playground was updated five to six years ago,” says Wilhelmi. “With equipment for those ages 3 to 12.” Roy Park has a play structure, a concrete basketball court and a public pool. The pool is open from June until the middle to end of August. Across the Piscataquog River, which borders the area, is a boat ramp and a dam called Kelly’s Falls that was initially built for a hydroelectric plant in 1890. Cutting underneath the river in Pinardville is the Piscataquog and Goffstown Rail Trails, which follow the former route of the New Hampshire Central Railroad. Biking, walking and cross-country skiing are allowed, and pets are welcome if they remain on a leash.
