A suburban town sandwiched by members-only golf clubs
Named to reflect the town’s pine trees and elevated landscape, Pine Hill is a borough in Camden County where almost 11,000 residents hang their hats. In this quiet suburban community situated about 15 miles southwest of Philadelphia and 45 miles from the Jersey Shore, houses are more affordable than surrounding areas. In addition to families, Pine Hill attracts golf enthusiasts who want to live close to the green. The area's hilly terrain makes for challenging golf courses, as seen in the two golf clubs on either end of the borough. “There is a section of Pine Hill where you can sit in your backyard and see the Philadelphia skyline,” says Kenneth Weidler, Broker Associate with BHHS Fox & Roach. The raised altitudes in different areas of town also make for popular hiking trails and scenic commutes into the city.

Common residences include 1970s townhouses, quaint ranch-style homes, split-levels and spacious colonial-inspired houses. Older homes built in the early 1900s sit on many acres, while newer homes built in the 2020s might sit on a quarter-acre. The median price for a home in Pine Hill is $262,000, almost half the national median. Properties typically stay on the market for an average of 23 days.

Pine Hill’s park spaces and private golf courses
Pine Hill has a few sports complexes, like Joey Green and Charlie Bowen, which each have multiple baseball diamonds and a playground. On the west side of town, Gloucester Township Community Park has soccer and football fields, a playground and paved walking paths. To the east, Berlin Park offers wooded hiking trails.
There are two members-only golf clubs on either side of Pine Hill. While the course at Pine Valley Golf Club has been ranked No. 1 in the United States by Golf Digest every year since 2017, there have been recent gender-bias allegations. In 2022, the club agreed to make several changes to the facility that include allowing women to become members, play golf and hold jobs that interact with members. Club officials are to submit reports annually to ensure that they are complying with these agreements.
