An exclusively residential Pittsburg neighborhood

Just outside of downtown Pittsburg, San Marco is its own little world. With a small park at the center, this pocket-sized neighborhood has wide streets that are friendly for bikers, and its modest size keeps it a quiet place to live. "It's in a very nice area. You get some good views of the delta, and because it gets pretty hot in Pittsburg, you can get some nice breezes because it’s in the hills," says Rich Fleming, a managing partner and broker associate at Realty ONE Group Future. "San Marco is 100% residential."

Restaurants and retail near San Marco

Los Reyes Taqueria evokes a rustic village feel from its warm tiled décor to its beautiful murals and colorful wall hangings. Its menu also supersedes the traditional Mexican restaurant fare thanks to unique protein options like quail, beef tongue and New York steak. Round Table Pizza serves pies, shareables and more in a trendy dining space to merge medieval flair with a modern edge. The Oak Hills Shopping Center bundles several retailers together in one convenient setting. "San Marco is growing economically. They're planning on building a Sprouts Farmers Market, and that'll change the area up, but until then, you have to drive about 10 to 15 minutes out of the area to get to the nearest grocery store," Fleming says. These grocery stores are Safeway, Kam's Market and La Fiesta Mexicana.
