A countryside community north of Pittsburgh
It’s easy to forget Sewickley Hills is just 15 miles from downtown Pittsburgh. What the Steel City offers in industrial businesses and repurposed mill buildings, this community has in the form of brick colonials with barns and 8-acre horse farms. What this neighborhood lacks in restaurants, theaters, or public transportation, it makes up for in historic homes and rolling hills. “It’s strictly residential; no shopping, no restaurants, no nothing, but the nice part about it is it has lots of land and easy access to I-79,” says Jill Stehnach, a Realtor at RE/MAX Select Realty in Sewickley. “The neighborhood is also within the highly desirable Quaker Valley School District.” Since the area is close enough to the city, commuters like medical professionals and athletes live in Sewickley Hills , says Jenny Collins, a Realtor with Coldwell Banker Realty who has lived in West Pennsylvania for nearly two decades.
