About Plain City, UT

About Plain City, UT

Growing rural city, north of Ogden

Plain City sits directly south of Willard Bay State Park and is surrounded by marshes and farmlands, about 12 miles northwest of Ogden. The city, which was originally settled by homesteaders in the 1850s, is in a state of growth with new homes being built in the central and eastern regions, to go along with a population of 8,500. “The neighborhood itself used to be a rural, farming community, and it’s only just now moving away from that, so it’s not super dense yet, which is nice,” says Realtor Ashley Kinney with Brick Realty, who specializes in the Ogden area. “It’s got that small-town feel with more city amenities because it’s only 10 or 15 minutes to Ogden proper.” The area’s top industries are transportation, public administration and construction. Several national trucking companies got their respective starts in Plain City, including Knight Transportation, C.R. England Trucking and Pride Transport.

In addition to the grocery store, there are a handful of small businesses and a regional pizza chain. “It’s really nice for homeowners. They don’t have to commute 20 minutes into Ogden proper to get groceries anymore, they can just hit Kent’s Market right there,” Kinney says. For more options, Farr West is about 4 miles east and North Ogden is around 7 miles. Both have commercial corridors along their main streets. Harrisville is over 7 miles southeast with shopping areas like The Family Center at Ogden, which has dozens of big box stores.

I am an award-winning real estate professional recently ranked No. 1 in Salt Lake City and No. 94 in the nation by REAL Trends Inc. The Wall Street Journal published accolades in the 11th-annual The Thousand, a list of America's top 1,000 real estate sales professionals and teams.

I specialize in physician relocation services; however, I have helped hundreds of families, individuals, students, young professionals, newly-married couples and retirees buy and sell homes on the Wasatch Front and Wasatch Back.

Find a home for sale you want to tour? Give my team 60 minutes and we will make it happen (as long as the sellers are up for it, of course).

As Utah Real Estate's President and Principal Broker, I take an active role in assuring my clients success. In 2017 I was personally responsible for $73 million in gross home sales and 178 real estate transactions. A healthy housing market is crucial to Utah's economy.

I was proud to be featured in Top Agent Magazine in 2015. I am especially grateful for a 4.9/5-star rating with nearly 150 verified client reviews on Zillow Premier Agent.

Salt Lake City and the Salt Lake Valley have been home all my life. I am very familiar with properties and markets in The Avenues, Sugar House, Downtown, 9th&9th, 15th&15th, and Harvard-Yale districts.
