A small residential community with ample amenities
River Bend is a well-established neighborhood bisected by small, interlocking bodies of water. While these water pockets aren't designed for recreation, they provide waterfront views for a few residents. River Bend most notably features a central park and top-rated schools within walking or biking distance. "My kids went to Saigling Elementary School, so we used to hang out at Cheyenne Park a lot," says Realtor Shannon Beitchman of Compass RE Texas, LLC. Beitchman moved from California to Texas in 2016 and initially lived in River Bend with her family. "We met a lot of people at the park. It was a really great way to get to know the neighborhood." And River Bend has a palpable sense of community. Friends of River Bend is a volunteer group that gathers residents to help build a stronger sense of community and promote neighborhood safety. "You get a really good feeling of community in River Bend," Beitchman says. "And it's a prime location to work, live and play."
