A gated community curb appeal without the HOAs
Paar Estates sits on Port St. Lucie’s south side, hemmed in by two tony gated communities. The neighborhood is like those communities with big homes on spacious, manicured lawns and winding streets that give it a tucked-away feeling. But unlike those communities, Paar Estates doesn’t have an HOA. And while tucked away, it is also convenient. "You've got Becker Road, Florida's Turnpike and Interstate 95, so it's great for commuting," says Phillip Parisi, a Port St. Lucie resident and a Realtor with Sea Flag Homes who sells throughout the Treasure Coast.
Paar Estates is a community made up of single family homes.

Kids can start their education at any “red zone” school, like Windmill Point Elementary, which serves prekindergarten through fifth grade and rates a B-minus on Niche, or Manatee Academy, which serves kindergarten through eighth grade and also rates a B-minus. Older kids attend B-rated Treasure Coast High School, which serves about 3,000 students. It offers small learning communities, with classes focused on specific career fields like culinary arts, criminal justice, and industrial biotechnology.

Nearby Jessica Clinton Park is popular for its large playground, basketball and tennis courts, outdoor gym and baseball fields. Spruce Bluff Preserve offers two self-guided hiking trails through flatwoods and freshwater marshes, with historical facts posted throughout about the Native American Ais tribe who used to call the area home. Boaters and anglers have easy access to the water. “There's plenty of fishing. The boat ramp off Floresta and Southbend isn't far; it's maybe a 10-minute ride to get there,” Parisi says. Golfers can tee off at the Crane Watch Club in Palm City, about 9 miles away. The semi-private country club offers an 18-hole, par 72 course and is open year-round.
