Located on the edge of Post Falls and on the north bank of the Spokane River, Corbin is a quiet residential neighborhood known for easy access to its namesake park. “It’s probably on the verge of one of our more popular parks. Even people from Washington go there,” says Robbie Quinn, the parks planner for the city of Post Falls. The neighborhood is conveniently located along Interstate 90, making for easy commutes throughout North Idaho and across the state line into Washington.

Outdoor fun all around the neighborhood
Corbin Park is the main recreational draw to the neighborhood, situated on approximately 28 acres along the Spokane River. The park has a wide variety of activities for residents to enjoy. “The main thing at Corbin Park is probably the disc golf. That’s our only disc golf course we have in the city, so that’s pretty popular down there,” says Quinn. “It’s a more native park setting with a lot of native vegetation.” The park also has a softball field and picnic shelters. There are several points where visitors can access the river for kayaking, fishing or swimming. However, water activities are more popular in the late summer when the snowmelt has died down, and the river is calmer. The North Idaho Centennial Trail passes through the neighborhood, offering a spot for running, walking or cycling. This 23-mile paved trail stretches from the Washington state line to a point just east of Coeur d’Alene. Q’emiln Park is another Post Falls park about a 4.5-mile drive from the neighborhood, which Quinn says has one of the city’s most popular beaches. The 78.5-acre green space also has plenty of trails and rock climbing opportunities. Each June, Q'emlin Park hosts the three-day Post Falls Festival, with local vendors, adult refreshments and family-friendly activities.
