Quieter than neighboring island spots
Much quieter than nearby tourist-heavy beaches, Redington Shores is sought after for its island paradise style of living without as much hustle and bustle from mainland visitors. “The area is very family-oriented,” says Tom Steck, a local Realtor with CENTURY 21 Real Estate Champions. “There are very few high rises and more small condos. It’s the kind of place that you can go and not worry about being run over on busy streets.” Redington Shores sits an equal distance between Clearwater and St. Petersburg. Locals get the calming beach life with plenty of local restaurants and simple amenities within a five-mile distance.

The Redington Shores Beach Access is about 3.5 acres of sand, seagrass and two boardwalks on the gulf side of the island. Outside these spots, multiple golf courses are nearby to get a quick swing. “In Redington, you can walk out of your front door, whether a condo or single-family home, and there will be things to do,” says Kathryn Larkin, Steck’s business partner. “It’s not quite as congested as Indian Rock or Madeira, though.”

From two-bedroom condos to multimillion mansions
While condos are the primary form of housing in Redington Shores, there are sprinkles or ranches, two-stories and townhouses. “Some homes are on the beaches, most are in town. If you’re literally on the beach, the condos, you’re probably looking at a million a piece,” Steck says. “On the Gulf Boulevard portion of the beach, it’s the same. The Intercoastal side is $300,000 to $700,000 and $800,000. The land side of the Intercoastal area is a quarter of a million dollars. It depends on the complex and the amenities it has.” A lot of the two-stories with contemporary architecture.
