As one of the oldest communities in Roberts, Wisconsin, the village of Warren dates back to the 1800s when pioneers from New York and New England first settled it. The St. Croix County village grew rapidly in the late 19th century, thanks to its location along the West Wisconsin Railroad. Today, Warren is a thriving community with a strong economy and a high quality of life. The village was founded in 1873 by the chief engineer for the West Wisconsin Railroad and named in his honor. Warren quickly grew into a thriving agricultural community and by the early 1900s, it was home to a number of businesses and industries, including a creamery, a flour mill and a lumber mill. Warren is home to a number of historic buildings and homes, many of which are still in use today.

There are a number of offshore lake homes in the village, offering residents the opportunity to enjoy the beauty of the Wisconsin countryside. Many of the homes were built in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, reflecting different architectural styles, including Victorian and Colonial. Victorian houses are typically characterized by their ornate trim, wraparound porches and bay windows. New development houses in Warren are typically single-story or two-stories and also have different, more modern architectural styles. Warren students attend the St. Croix Central School District, ranked No. 10 among public school districts in Wisconsin by Niche. The district's schools include St. Croix Central Elementary School, St. Croix Middle School and St. Croix High School. All three schools are known for their strong academic programs and commitment to student success. All three schools also received grades of B-plus from Niche, which means they are considered above-average schools. St. Croix Central Elementary School is known for its innovative teaching methods and strong focus on student achievement. St. Croix Middle School offers extracurricular activities, including sports, clubs and arts programs. St. Croix High School is a comprehensive high school that offers a variety of academic and vocational programs.

Warren is near a diverse base of excellent restaurants, including the BarnBoard Grill & Saloon, which locals say is their place of preference for a juicy hamburger. Known for its lively atmosphere, Barnboard’s menu includes an open-face roast beef sandwich, Wisconsin cheese curds, pizza and more. The best places to shop for groceries and clothing in the Village of Warren are the stores at Miller's Corner, which has a number of small shops and grocery stores. There are a number of things to do in the village of Warren. Residents can enjoy the outdoors at Warren Park, which has a playground, a picnic area and a walking trail. The Hazel Mackin Community Library offers year-long programs and events for all ages. There are also a number of annual events held in the village, including the Warren Fall Festival and the Warren Christmas Parade and the Warren Fall Festival, a two-day event with live music, food vendors, a craft fair and other events.

The nearest hospital to the village of Warren is St. Croix Regional Medical Center, located a few miles away in Hudson, Wisconsin. St. Croix Regional Medical Center is a full-service hospital that offers a wide range of services, including emergency care, surgery and maternity care. There is no public transportation available in the village of Warren.
