A Rochester Hills subdivision with Shakespearean influences
The Shakespearean subdivision of Stratford Knolls derives its name from Stratford-upon-Avon, the Bard’s hometown in the English countryside. Back stateside, the British-themed street names and dense foliage of Stratford Knolls may conjure images of midsummer nights in the Forest of Arden, but the Rochester Hills neighborhood was actually created in 1960 as a bedroom community for Metro Detroit. Homes with Colonial Revival and Tudor influences come with competitive prices, plus a highly rated school system and plenty of nearby shopping, casting a unique appeal on the Michigan "hamlet."
