Major conveniences are just around the corner from this quiet subdivision
University Hills was mostly developed in the 1960s and ’70s, less than a decade after nearby Oakland University was established. Located near the center of Rochester Hills, the small subdivision is close to major conveniences while maintaining a quiet atmosphere. “People are attracted to our community because of our cultural amenities, shopping and dining options,” says Nathan Mueller, senior adviser for strategy and communications for the City of Rochester Hills. The university and the local elementary school sit within a few blocks of the community, while shopping and parks are a 5-minute drive. Lower-than-average housing prices and highly rated schools help University Hills stand out among the dozens of neighboring subdivisions.
