A private waterfront St. Pete master planned community
Marina Bay sits at the southern tip of St. Petersburg along the Gulf waters. The coastal master-planned community has become highly sought after for its prime location—situated 3 miles from St. Pete Beach and 7 miles from downtown. Stretching 60 acres, Marina Bay offers secluded resort-style living with various housing options and opportunities to explore the outdoors. “It’s a beach lifestyle, but it’s very private and more sophisticated with the amenities they have,” says Judy Holland, Realtor and Broker at Premier Sotheby’s International Realty and native Pinellas County resident. “It’s a lovely location. You have the Pinellas Trail, you can get to the beaches, you can get to downtown St. Pete.”
Marina Bay has over 60 acres of lush tropical landscaping, and dramatic water features.
Scenic lakes are spread throughout the Marina Bay community.

Surrounding by boating and fishing fun, parks and 3 miles from St. Pete Beach
Boating and deep-sea fishing are popular in Marina Bay, with its surrounding deep-water canals that feed into Boca Ciega Bay. Residents have direct access to the bay, and many have private docks behind their homes. The community's 11 acres of lakes provide picnic space and scenic views. Maximo Park is 2 miles away and is a 70-acre green space with a disc golf course, a playground, boat ramps, a public beach and fishing spots. The nearby Maximo Marina is also a popular spot for anglers and boaters, as it’s the largest full-service covered marina on Florida’s west coast. Loggerhead Marina-St. Petersburg is less than 2 miles east and is another popular place for boaters, with over 400 boat slips. The 3-mile Bayway Trail is a popular route for cyclists and joggers that starts at the heart of the community and runs to St. Pete Beach. Pinellas Trail, a 45-mile multi-use path, runs along the northern edge of Marina Bay, which connects St. Pete with Tarpon Springs. Marina Bay of St. Pete Beach, Pass-A-Grille Beach and St. Pete Beach are the most popular beaches, all less than 4 miles away. Clam Bayou Nature Park is 5 miles north and has a forested nature preserve, a clam estuary and the Blue Ways Trail System, which offers miles of boating opportunities. Fort De Soto Park is less than 8 miles away for a deeper dive into nature. The 1,110-acre space is made up of five interconnected islands. Swimming, kayaking and birdwatching are all popular here.

A gated community with penthouse condos, villas and waterfront custom estates
Eckerd College’s campus and facilities take up most of the community, so Marina Bay properties are all in the northwest corner. The gated waterfront community’s palm-lined streets are filled with lakes surrounded by four distinct neighborhoods. The master-planned community includes condominiums, townhouses and single-family estates. “It’s very quiet. The neighbors all seem very friendly and know each other well,” says Holland. Most properties were built in the early-2000s, and architectural styles are primarily Mediterranean-inspired, along with some coastal contemporary and custom designs. The Garden Home Villas at Marina Bay offers three-bedroom townhouses between 2,300 and 2,500 square feet and single-family homes. Townhouses range from the low-$600,000s for a 1,600-square-foot three-bedroom to over $2 million for a 2,300-square-foot three-bedroom. The modern townhouses overlook a lake and a nature preserve, each with a multi-car garage on the ground level. Single-family homes range from more than $1 million for a 2,300-square-foot three-bedroom to more than $6 million for a 5,000-square-foot waterfront five-bedroom with custom upgrades. Some single-family estates have private boat docks and pools.
Pointe on Boca Ciega Bay is a waterfront neighborhood of four-bedroom, penthouse-style condos around 3,800 square feet. There are three units per building, so each condo has an entire floor. Each condo has 1,000 square feet of wrap-around terrace space, a two-car garage and panoramic views of Boca Ciega Bay. Prices here range from the low-$900,000s to $4 million. Captivas at Marina Bay is another condo community. Prices start in the low $900,000s for a three-bedroom to more than $1 million for a three-bedroom penthouse condo around 2,400 square feet. Homes tend to get snatched up quickly, and not many properties are often on the market, so Holland says newcomers should act fast. “The market is busy,” Holland says. “We have multiple offers right now on a listed unit. We’ve had people come to look at it who have been looking in Marina Bay for a long time and are looking for the right place.” Tropical landscaping is found throughout the community, and the property management company keeps it well-maintained. Homeowners’ association fees vary based on each property’s value. Marina Bay amenities include a clubhouse, two pools, a fitness center, a fishing pier and boat slips. There is ample space for walking or cycling, and residents can walk to the community’s fishing pier. Marina Bay properties are the only ones in the county built to FORTIFIED standards, meaning they were constructed to withstand natural hazards like high winds, hurricanes and tornadoes.
Marina Bay has one of the lowest crime rates in Florida.
