Residential neighborhood in northeast San Antonio
For many, the draw to live in Woodstone, a residential area in northeast San Antonio, is the cost of housing. But residents also benefit from “proximity to the airport and the air force base. And you’re close to Interstate 35,” says Cesar Amezcua, Broker and Owner at CA & Company, who has consistently been one of the Top 50 Residential Real Estate Agents recognized by the San Antonio Business Journal and Texas Monthly Magazine. Perhaps that’s why there’s not a lot of turnover: “The people who live here have been here forever,” says Amezcua. This residential community contains single-family homes, condos, apartments and a shopping center, including UPS, Walgreens and Petco. The Methodist Healthcare System, including specialists and a hospital, is just 3 miles away.
Ranch-style homes built in the late 20th century
The streets of Woodstone are lined with sidewalks, driveways and homes. One and two-story homes have attached garages. Many of these brick, ranch-style homes were built in the 1970s through the 1990s, and several on the market have been newly remodeled. Two to four-bedroom homes across various subdivisions cost $240,000 to $270,000. Additionally, two-bedroom condos go for between $130,000 and $185,000, equating to estimated monthly payments of around $1,250. Some are in a gated community with a pool. Monthly apartment rates range from $900 for a one-bedroom to $1,475 for a three-bedroom.

Woodstone is located between two destinations for fun: Inflatable Wonderland and Morgan’s Wonderland. Inflatable Wonderland is an indoor kids’ paradise complete with a bounce-scape, arcade and inflatables. Morgan’s Wonderland is a theme park catering to children and adults with special needs. “One of our city’s millionaires, Gordon Hartman, dedicated his life to philanthropy and built his daughter with special needs a theme park, which is open to the community.
