About 5 miles north of downtown San Bernardino, exclusively residential Blair Park is set between Route 210 and Interstate 215, and bordered northeast by the grassy Shandin Hills. “This is a sleepy, centrally located suburb,” says David Matta, San Bernardino resident and real estate agent with Realty Masters & Associates. “You can hop on the 210 to get to Downtown Los Angeles in an hour, or to Cal State San Bernardino in less than 10 minutes.” In the western end of the neighborhood, Blair Park’s 34-acre namesake green space has several ball fields, and the Shandin Hills Golf Club has an 18-hole golf course.

Midcentury ranch-style homes and cost-effective condos

Set along streets laid out in neat grids with cul-de-sacs and the occasional sidewalk, Blair Park's 1950s ranch-style homes have rooftop solar panels and grassy, well-manicured front lawns semi-shaded by mature trees. Buyers might find listings between $450,000 and $575,000. The community’s two 1980s-era condo developments provide additional housing options. Units in the gated Edgehill Village subdivision generally list between $230,000 and $330,000. Fairway Park condos rest along the eastern edge of the Shandin Hills Golf Club and may run from $310,000 to $360,000. Condo residents also pay between $350 and $380 in monthly HOA fees.

High acceptance rate at CSUSB

Local kids can start school at Davidson Elementary, rated a C by Niche, then continue to the C-minus-rated Shandin Hills Middle. San Bernardino High School, which earns a C-plus, is the city's oldest school, founded in 1891. The neighborhood's community park and namesake, Blair Park, is home to three 'Dodgers Dreamfield' baseball diamonds that are available for Little League, Senior League and Softball leagues. The park also has several tennis and racquetball courts, a large skate park, and a half-mile multi-use trail. Easy access to LA

In the southwest corner of Blair Park, Route 210 merges with Interstate 215. The 210 leads about 60 miles west to Los Angeles, while the 215 leads about 50 miles south to Anaheim. Most residents here rely on their cars to get around, but the Omnitrans San Bernardino Green Line (sbX) bus makes a stop one mile east of the neighborhood. The closest hospital is Dignity Health, 2 miles south, and San Bernardino International Airport is 8 miles southeast.
