Just 5 miles from the Pacific Ocean, Oceanview is a tucked-away streetcar suburb in southwest San Francisco. It's conveniently close to transit options like San Francisco's BART and MUNI lines. The neighborhood is also walkable to parks, shopping areas, and transit stops. Lake Merced and San Bruno Mountain Park are nearby, along with shops along Ocean Avenue and clothing stores at Stonestown Galleria.
Oceanview Park sits in the center of the neighborhood. Surrounded by a high fence, the park has courts, fields and a recreation center. The park slopes up from its lowest point at Lobos Street, and the higher section provides sweeping views of the city. The San Bruno Mountain State & County Park is 3 miles southeast.
