Park-style neighborhood next to downtown San Leandro
Cherrywood is a small residential enclave less than a mile from vibrant downtown San Leandro. Its secluded setting, with uniformly designed houses and a more private residential layout, makes it unique from neighboring communities. “Cherrywood is park-like,” says Percy Cheung, a local 34-year veteran Realtor with Smart Choice Realty. “The neighborhood gives off a calm, peaceful vibe with Cherrywood Park on one side and wide tree-lined streets on the other.” Cherrywood is considered one of the newer housing developments in the city. It was built in the early 2000s and now features over 300 single-family homes. Not only does it provide desirable suburban qualities, but the neighborhood benefits from its central East Bay location. "Commuters love it here," Cheung says. "You can travel quickly across the Bay Area from I-580 or walk to the BART from home."
