Quiet suburban Santa Ana
Located on the far eastern side of Santa Ana, Meredith Parkwood is a neighborhood that offers the best of both worlds: competitively priced homes in a charming community and easy access to nearby Tustin, which offers shopping, eateries and high-quality schools. “I think what draws people to Meredith Parkwood is the great schools and also the location — it’s so close to Tustin and Irvine, plus you have that easy access to the freeways,” says Yolanda Solorio, a real estate agent with Seven Gables Real Estate.
Midcentury homes
Meredith Parkwood’s streets are mostly lined with midcentury-era ranch-style homes, many of which boast second stories and big front-facing windows. Short driveways lead to two-car garages, and while lot sizes can be narrow, which sits homes close together, there is plenty of room for landscaped front yards and backyards with pools or patios. The tree-lined streets bend and curve, often connecting or ending in cul-de-sacs, which help cut down on traffic and noise, and wide sidewalks make the neighborhood accessible by foot. Prices range from $760,000 for 1,300 square feet to $1.5 million for 2,900 square feet. Townhouses and condos throughout the neighborhood offer prices ranging from $365,000 for 1,100 square feet to $590,000 for 1,300 square feet.
