The program honored just 23 schools nationally that are helping students pursue postsecondary success. The school is public but requires an academic screening and audition for acceptance.

At Avondale Park, kids can climb on the monkey bars, swoop down the slide or throw a football in the open green space while parents watch from the nearby bench. Avondale residents shop along Victory Drive and Wallin Street in Victory Heights. Local artists and entrepreneurs sell their wares at VENDORS ON VICTORY, and residents can also find big box stores like Target and Whole Foods for everyday essentials.
