A close-knit community that knows how to have fun
Go strolling along the picturesque Bluff Drive, hang out by the water at the marina or stop at one of the nearby restaurants, and one will see that living in Isle of Hope is about the lifestyle. This slice of Savannah is the type of area where neighborhoods truly know each other, through relationships forged out and about, whether by the dock, at church or out to eat. “It’s just a smaller community,” says local Realtor and longtime Isle of Hope resident Ed Yannett, Team Leader for Team Yannett at eXp Realty. “Because we are an island, so that lends itself to everybody knowing each other. It’s a phenomenal place to live.”

Options of all shapes and sizes
If there’s one word that defines the homes that fill Isle of Hope it’s variety. This is not a cookie-cutter area, says Yannett, who has 35 years of experience in real estate. The differing options around Isle of Hope aren’t confined to certain streets, either. “You literally can have a million-dollar house next to a $300,000 house,” Yannett says. “You can have a $400,000 house right across the street from a $5-million-dollar house. So it’s very, very eclectic.” Many houses around Isle of Hope were built in the mid-to-late 20th century, a mix of ranch-style homes, expansive colonials, Cape Cods, contemporary-style options and more. Some homes here have private docks out back, and most sit on relatively sizable lots, of at least one-fifth of an acre. Prices in Isle of Hope can range from the $300,000s, for a ranch-style option under 2,000 square feet, to a few million dollars for a home on the water that’s well over 3,000 or 4,000 square feet.

The marina runs along part of Bluff Drive, which is popular for leisurely strolls. “Everybody walks on Bluff Drive,” Yannett says. “That’s a world-famous street. I personally have never seen a prettier street. It really is something out of a postcard.” Residents can saunter along Bluff Drive and then cut onto Rosenbrook Avenue to reach Isle of Hope Swimming Club, whose pool is another community draw.
