Youngstown Cultural Arts Center and more
The Youngstown Cultural Arts Center was created by the city-sponsored nonprofit Delridge Neighborhoods Development Association. The DNDA facilitates affordable live-work spaces for artists and housing units for nearly 700 low-income residents. The association's urban forest restoration program benefits West Seattle parks, including the Delridge Wetland Park, which is used as an outdoor classroom.
The Arts in Nature Festival, a multiday event held in late August and early September, is presented by the DNDA, in collaboration other community organizations. The festival focuses on natural sciences, Duwamish tribe culture and performance, art and wellness activities.
The Delridge Community Center has an array of programs for locals of all ages. Classes, a gym, tutoring, childcare and camps are a few of its offerings. The center is located by Delridge Playfield, where there's a skatepark, tennis courts and a wading pool.

Businesses along Delridge, the Junction's nearby
Along Delridge Way there are some businesses close to home. Uptown Espresso, a branch of the Seattle brand that started in the 1980s, has breakfast and lunch and is known for its coffee brewed from proprietary beans and topped with velvet foam. Ounces Taproom & Beer Garden stays loyal to Washington-only beers, cider and wine. Rotating food truck options and events like trivia night, Springfest and a Sunday run club make this a local favorite. Skylark Café & Club is the place to go at night: it stays open until midnight or 1 a.m., every day except Sunday.
Nearby is the Junction, also known as "West Seattle Junction" or "Alaska Junction." This strip of shops and eateries has a mix of long-established businesses and newer, hip shops and bars. California Avenue's shops include Easy Street Records & Cafe, Pegasus Book Exchange, the Antique Mall of West Seattle and tattoo parlors. "The Junction is a really popular destination for going out at night," says Marcel Kluetz, a Queen Anne Real Estate broker with more than ten years of sales experience and an impressive industry network.
There are several grocery options in the area and for locally sourced produce, residents shop West Seattle Farmers Market on Sunday mornings. Kluetz says people travel to the market in the off-season since it's open year-round.

Got safer over the years as new people moved in. Lots of new housing due to the influx of people moving into Seattle. Not much of a big community feel.
