Beachfront Delaware border town offers a place to grow
Located directly on the Delaware-Maryland border, Selbyville is a small Delaware town that got its start as a 250-acre area on the Saint Martin’s River that housed a gristmill and a sawmill. The town began to grow with the introduction of the Breakwater and Frankford Railroad, which shipped strawberries to the town. While Selbyville continues to be primarily an agricultural area, the introduction of newly built homes opens the door for new residents to settle in and enjoy the small-town atmosphere the Selbyvillians are happy to have.
