Parades and concerts around Downtown Stamford

In Downtown Stamford locals gather for events such as the annual Stamford Downtown Parade Spectacular, one of the largest helium balloon parades in the country. Sports courts at Scalzi Park

There are several green spaces in the Mid Ridge area. Scalzi Park is a popular spot for sports with a concrete skatepark and tennis, basketball, volleyball and bocce courts. The park also houses the Cubeta Stadium, home of the Stamford American Legion and Babe Ruth baseball teams. Kids can play on the park’s splash pad and playground, while a series of paved trails are perfect for walking, running or biking. Locals also enjoy easy access to the E. Gaynor Brennan Golf Course, a public 18-hole course offering discounted golf permits to residents. The nearby RPM Raceway offers indoor go-karting, bowling and an arcade.

Proximity to NYC and the Stamford Transportation Center

Mid Ridge is about 40 miles north of New York City. Residents are centrally located between the Merritt Parkway and Interstate 95. The CTtransit provides local bus service to the community, connecting residents to Downtown Stamford and the nearby Stamford Transportation Center. About 2 miles from Mid Ridge, the transportation center serves Metro-North Railroad and Amtrak trains and includes direct service to Grand Central Station. “It probably takes you about 10 minutes to get to the train station, and there are express lines to New York City all the time,” Morrison says.

Stamford Hospital and Fortune 500 companies

Mid Ridge is just north of Stamford Hospital. Residents are also less than 3 miles from all three of Stamford's Fortune 500 companies: Harman International, Synchrony Financial and United Rentals.
