Sitting along Apalachee Parkway
Situated south of a major roadway in the Florida panhandle, Old Saint Augustine is part residential area, part retail corridor. Locals live in modest Florida homes behind lush green grass and underneath towering palm and Spanish moss trees. They play golf at the public course and use the Apalachee Parkway to go downtown. “If somebody lives over there, it’s because it’s more affordable,” says Audrey Nedeau, real estate broker at Suite Real Estate, LLC. “Houses are smaller and little bit older, and a townhouse can cost $160,000. You can definitely still do that in Tallahassee.”

Canopy Road Café serves waffles and coffee from the end cap of a strip mall and Pitaria serves Greek fare like salads and gyro sandwiches. “It’s close to downtown and the capital area, and near Apalachee parkway where the mall is,” says Nedeau. “There are a lot of restaurants there.”
