Drew Park is filled with everything from student housing and multi-family housing to single-family ranch-style homes and larger two-story homes. You’ll find stucco homes and homes with siding. Single-family homes are most common and prices range from $300,000 to $400,000. Homes can be anywhere from 900 to 2,300 square feet in size and were mostly built between the 1950s and 1970s. Lot sizes are usually between 7,000 square feet and 0.3 acres. Green lawns line the streets and are sprinkled with palm trees.

Students in Drew Park can attend Tampa Bay Boulevard Elementary School, which received a B-minus rating from Niche and was built in 1926 with a staff of half a dozen teachers. The school’s name was inspired by its geographical location. Pierce Middle School is another option that received a C-plus rating from Niche and was built in 1961. They offer students a STEM-focused curriculum, an Advanced Robotics program and the AVID program. Students are also encouraged to participate in Scholar Quest, Dual Language courses and electives like culinary, visual arts and band. Club options include Latinos in Action and Club de Baile. Leto High School received a B rating from Niche and was named after Ateo Phillip Leto, a well-known local educator. The school first opened in 1965 and was the first comprehensive high school in Hillsborough County. Students can participate in vocational training and a strong core curriculum along with longstanding traditions like Night to Fly, Powder Puff and Class Capers.

Get some fresh air at Al Lopez Park, a city park stretching for over 130 acres. Explore the nature trails or try your luck at the fishing pond. Let your little ones enjoy the playground or your four-legged friends explore the dog park while you prepare lunch at one of the picnic shelters. Get your heart rate up at one of the fitness stations or connect with your neighbors at the community center. The park is named after Al López, Tampa's first Major League player, manager, and Hall of Fame inductee.

Hungry? Mr. Empanada is known for its creative empanadas and Cuban sandwiches made with everything from pizza ingredients to crabmeat. For an old-school feel, Mom’s Place has traditional diner dishes, breakfast and lunch classics and Greek specialties as well. For a truly unique experience, visit Two Shepherds Tap Room, Tampa’s first off-leash dog park and bar. Enjoy 4,000 square feet of indoor space and 10,000 square feet of outdoor space complete with artificial turf and pup-themed murals. Sample their impressive selection of craft beer, seltzers and wine. Residents can satisfy their grocery needs at the Bravo Supermarket and Walmart.

Sports fans will love Steinbrenner Field, home to the NFL Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Built in 1996, it’s the largest spring training ballpark in Florida and is also used by the New York Yankees. Altitude Trampoline Park is a great way to get active and make memories with your family and friends with over 30,000 square feet of indoor trampolines. Hillsborough Community College - Dale Mabry Campus is another local amenity that offers students areas of study that include everything from Health Sciences to Computer Science to Culinary Arts. Students are encouraged to participate in apprenticeships and clinics as well.
