Living near Thornton's amenities
In Thornton, Colorado, 18 miles north of Denver, Holly Crossing is a suburban neighborhood near shopping and dining options, with a secluded feel. “There are a lot of trees and trails and walking paths throughout the neighborhood, so you feel like you’re in nature,” says Charlie Belger of JPAR Modern Real Estate and Thornton native. “But at the same time you are so close to Denver and Boulder, which is important because a lot of people commute.” The neighborhood is completely residential, with homes from the late 20th century and where 85% of the population owns versus rents. Shopping centers are close by, and so are public schools and major recreation spots.
Holly Crossing is less than 17 miles from Downtown Denver.

Quiet streets with cul-de-sacs in Denver suburbs
The Holly Crossing neighborhood is comprised solely of single-family homes. The vast majority of houses are either classic ranch-style or tri-level homes from the late 1980s and early 1990s. Prices range between $385,000 and $520,000 depending on the size and age of the home. “You get a lot more bang for your buck than you would in other Denver suburbs,” Belger says. Properties sit on quiet streets that often end in cul-de-sacs. Wide sidewalks make it easy to walk to a neighbor’s home. Lots are situated close to one another, but homes still have front and backyards. Parking is not an issue as houses have private driveways and multicar garages.
