Walking distance to parks, minutes from the mall
There isn’t a home in Tigard’s Englewood Park neighborhood that isn’t within walking distance of one of two large parks and each of their extensive walking trails. Both Englewood and Summerlake parks stretch across dozens of acres, immediately east and west of the community, and the former connects to the Fanno Creek Trail system, which passes through three municipalities west of Portland. In addition to easy access to nature, the neighborhood is also minutes from one of Portland’s largest malls, by car. “There seems to be quite a bit of building around the Washington Square area,” says Mark Reeves, co-owner of Reeves Realty Group, brokered by eXp Realty. “I know that there are a lot of plans for adding more restaurants and expanding on Washington Square. I could see that driving quite a bit more interest in the area, with more stuff to do without having to leave the direct area.”

Washington Square Mall is just across Hwy 217 from Englewood Park. It features local retailers alongside big box stores and national food chains.

Fanno Creek Trail cuts through Englewood Park
Englewood Park refers to the suburban neighborhood that surrounds a 15-acre wetland green space of the same name. Two miles of trails trace through the wooded western section of the park, where cheery flowers burst through the earth at the promise of spring. In the east, a wider section of Fanno Creek is home to ducks and green-headed mallards that tuck their heads close to their bodies as they wade across the water. Yellow Canadian gooselings jog to keep up with their parents.
The Fanno Creek Trail cuts through Englewood Park on its way from Tualatin in the south to Beaverton. Deemed accessible by the Americans with Disabilities Act, the trail welcomes hikers and cyclists to explore grassy and wooded wetlands home to beavers, waterfowl and red-tailed hawks. Summerlake Park has a variety of athletic fields, a dog park, two playgrounds and a lake with designated fishing areas on the southwest side of the neighborhood.

Washington Square mall and Whole Foods Market
The shopping center in the north of the neighborhood includes Whole Foods Market, as well as a few chain and local eateries. Scottys Sports Bar has been in business for over three decades, serving laid-back pub food like wings, nachos, potato skins, teriyaki steak bites and burgers. In addition to extensive tap and draft lists, it also offers $3-beers on Sundays during football season. Nearby, locals can get their sugar and caffeine fixes at Sesame Donuts, a Portland-area chain that also serves breakfast.
Less than 3 miles away is Washington Square, a mall with upscale shopping, including a Nordstrom, Williams-Sonoma, Macy’s and an Apple Store, as well as popular restaurants like Margarita Factory and Thirsty Lion. “When people say they are ‘going to the mall,’ that’s the mall they are talking about, generally speaking, in all of Portland,” Reeves says.
Washington Square features popular restaurants like The Margarita Factory.
The Greenway Town Center is only a few minutes from most homes in Englewood Park and features a Whole Foods for convenient groceries.

Seventies ranch-style homes and contemporary Craftsman renditions
The residential streets of Englewood Park form circular and oblong shapes, with cul-de-sacs that diverge from larger roadways like branches on the mature trees that line them. Ranch-style homes and bungalows, built from the late 1960s through the 1980s, make up a significant portion of the housing stock, ranging from $525,000 to $635,000. Some of these homes come on lots with mature trees around a quarter of an acre in size, offering room for sheds and recreational vehicle or boat parking. Contemporary homes with distinct Craftsman designs—mostly built in the early 2000s—are also popular in the neighborhood. Fetching between $700,000 and $750,000, many of these homes also come with additional homeowners association costs.
Ranch style homes built between the 1960's and 1980's are a popluar choice in Englewood Park.

Southwest Scholls Ferry Road runs to southwest Portland
Southwest Scholls Ferry Road borders the neighborhood to the north, continuing east until it becomes Southwest Beaverton-Hillsdale Highway. Prior to reaching Hillsdale and southwest Portland, the road crosses paths with Oregon state Route 217. Washington Square Mall is on the west side of the state highway, which continues north in the direction of downtown Beaverton. Several TriMet bus stops for the 45 route are dotted along 121st Avenue, another of the neighborhood’s larger thoroughfares.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.
