Part suburb, part industrial south of The University of Toledo
One part residential and one part industrial, Scott Park is a burgeoning college neighborhood 5 miles west of Downtown Toledo. "It's not a suburb, but not an inner city," says Kenneth Powell, owner of I Do Brakes, a local business in Scott Park. "The college is right here, so there's a lot of diversity." South Scott Park's warehouses and distribution centers make up the heart of the area, but the University of Toledo's significant presence brings the neighborhood to life.

For international variety, residents can visit family-owned Little Asia, snack on bento boxes at Rice Blvd or enjoy specialties like the Birria Pizza at El Viejon Mexican Street Tacos. For a quick pick-me-up, there's BREW Coffee Bar next door to Rice Blvd. Inside the Five Brewing, also known as the Fieldhouse, is a fairly new addition to the neighborhood and doubles as a brewhouse and taproom. Various convenience stores keep a ready stock of small items. Still, residents drive around 2-1/2 miles outside the neighborhood to shop at Save A Lot.
