A quiet lakeside neighborhood in Lake County
Residents in the Tower Lakes neighborhood live lakeside while having a canopy of green trees. The community is nature-centric while not being too far from the action. "One of the main attractions to this area is the location," Kim Alden with Compass Realty says. Alden has more than 15 years of real estate experience in the area. "We are close to many things; you can go five minutes in every direction and find something to do, whether it be a new park or trail."
Hike or boat around Tower Lake
In the heart of the neighborhood, Tower Lake is a primary recreational attraction where residents go for boating, fishing and swimming. "People love to spend time on the lakes and out in nature; there are lots of trails and hiking paths," Alden says. "It is a great place for outdoor hobbyists." The Fox River is less than two miles from the center of the neighborhood, where locals can take their boats to the marina and go boating down the river. Residents also have several parks and nature preserves in their backyards. Murray Park has wooden bridges for people to cross over the water and walking trails to sightsee across the park. Hussissian Park has grass fields and trees with a battling fence and stands for baseball or softball games. Tower Lakes Fen Nature Preserve is filled with flowers, fauna, endangered plants and plenty of room to hike and enjoy the natural surroundings.
