Borders Reid Park and Randolph Golf Complex

Arroyo Chico borders Gene C. Reid Park, which includes 156 acres of various activities. Its popular amphitheater, DeMeester Outdoor Performance Center, resonates with music from the Tucson Pops Orchestra each spring and summer. Take the dogs out for a run at Miko’s Corner Playground Dog Park. Locals can spend the whole day having a barbeque on the grills, letting the kids on the playground or the ball fields. Reid Park Zoo’s 24-acre campus is a fun spot for safe and up-close animal encounters. Randolph Golf Complex offers two courses including the Dell Urich and Randolph North Courses. These combined offer golfers 36 holes.

BBQs and Cold Brew nearby

Kiss of Smoke BBQ is a secret spot centrally located for down-home barbeque. It’ll have the regular BBQ helpings of brisket, pulled pork, ribs, and assorted sides. Laverna’s Coffee Shop is a little more than meets the eye. Their special brew is paired with their full breakfast menu and beloved plate-sized pancakes. Grocery shopping can be done right in the neighborhood at the Safeway in Broadway Campbell Plaza. Other shopping essentials like Target, Walmart Supercenter and Ross are located along East Broadway Boulevard. The Park Place Mall is an indoor shopping center five miles east. It features several specialty stores and popular retailers like Dillard’s, H&M, and Old Navy.

Tucson schools embrace STEM education

Tucson Unified School District serves students. The closest elementary school is Robison Elementary, which has a C-plus on Niche. This school offers an inquiry cycle in science and other areas. Students in grades six through eight can learn at the Mansfeld Middle Magnet School. The C-plus-rated school is a nationally recognized STEM school. All core curriculum classes incorporate STEM practices. High school students can earn diplomas at Tucson Magnet High, which has a B on Niche. The Animal Rescue Group is one of the dozens of student clubs offered. This service-oriented group helps homeless animals in the area and raises money for local charities.

Tucson connections through East Broadway Blvd and South Kino Parkway

East Broadway Blvd and South Kino Parkway are the main drags bordering the neighborhood. Broadway Blvd gets right into downtown for those who need to commute. South Kino Pkwy connects to Interstate 10 on the south end. That interstate goes between Phoenix and New Mexico. Tucson International Airport is seven miles south offer 20 nonstop destinations.
