Strap on your spurs and head to Mesquite Ranch, a small suburb between Downtown Tucson and Mica Mountain.
Homes in Mesquite Ranch are typically stucco Spanish revival-style options. Barrel roof tiles complete the picture and two-car garages provide added convenience. Homes typically sell for between $340,000 to $495,000 and most were built in the early 2000s. Homes are on the larger side and fall between 1,600 and 3,000 square feet in size. Rincon Vista Middle School serves about 700 students with an even higher student-teacher ratio of 23 to 1. Vail Academy & High School has 470 students with a much lower student-teacher ratio of 7 to 1 and offers its students a variety of engaging programs from robotics team to math club to Future Business Leaders of America. Both the middle and high schools received an A rating from Niche.
Stretch your legs at the nearby Sierro Morado Park where you can start a pickup game on the basketball court with friends while your little ones get some energy out on the playground. Civano North Pool is a great place to cool off. Or try out some new tricks at Fantasy Island Mountain Bike Park. If you’re more into long-distance biking, throw on your helmet and head for the Houghton Greenway, a paved biking path that follows along the edge of S Houghton Road. With easy access to Interstate 10, Mesquite Ranch residents have access to endless additional amenities. The convenient location is just 20 miles southeast of Downtown Tucson and all it has to offer.
