East side Tulsa neighborhood offers convenience and laid back living
On the far east side of Tulsa, Lynn Lane provides residents with a taste of open space. Built around the Lynn Lane Reservoir bearing its name, the neighborhood straddles between Tulsa and Broken Arrow and serves as a convenience point with I-44 serving as the northern border while historic Route 66 streaks through its heart, offering a more central location that typical judgment might convey. Mostly made up of farmland and possessing the qualities of a secluded area, new construction is creating opportunities for homebuyers. “It’s developing more and more and it’s mostly flat ground. And it’s the part of Broken Arrow that’s growing,” says Adam Callaway, Realtor with Keller Williams Advantage.
New construction and mid-century ranches
Lynn Lane has a mixture of new construction and mid-century ranches that traverse the neighborhood. Many homes sit on larger lots of up to five acres. These ranch homes – typically built anywhere from the 1960s to as recently as the late 2000s – also come with spacious, fenced backyards, as well as two-car garages and covered porches. Asking prices start around $650,000 for these larger properties, while older, smaller homes sell for just under $200,000. "The price point is most likely the biggest draw here," says Luke Rentz, Realtor for Keller Williams Preferred. "If priced well, homes tend to fly off the market."

Measuring 237 square acres Lynn Lane Reservoir sits at the heart of the neighborhood and is a popular spot for fishing and birding. A popular 2.6-mile trail loops around, giving visitors a full perspective of the natural environment. “It’s a very popular place to walk, run and jog and that kind of stuff. People fish there quite a bit. It’s not the most popular spot in the world, but people do fish there quite a bit,” Callaway adds. Just west of the reservoir, the Carl Smith Sports Complex and Savage Sports Complex are popular locations for local softball leagues. In the northeast corner, Rose Dew Park sits on five acres and has a playground, basketball court and asphalt walking trails to enjoy the serene outdoors. Just south of the neighborhood in Broken Arrow, the Battle Creek Golf Club is a public course open for those who like to tee it up when the weather gets nice.
