The founding of Uniontown coincides with a very special day in American history: the signing of the Declaration of Independence. On July 4, 1776, Henry Beeson, one of the area's earliest settlers, sold off parcels of his land through a lottery drawing, and the parcels became the community of Uniontown.
The Historic National Road runs through Uniontown as well. “Uniontown is a growing city that is southbound of Pittsburgh,” says Jeff Denis, Realtor with eXp Realty who primarily serves clients all over Fayette County. “It’s near Ohiopyle State Park, where you can go hiking and kayaking. It is surrounded by beautiful farmland and history.”
