Universal City Park has various styles of homes to suit any family's needs.
Centrally-located San Antonio suburb
Universal City is a 20,000-resident suburb conveniently located on the northeast side of San Antonio. “It’s at the intersection of I-35 and the 1604 corridor, so it’s incredibly centrally located,” says Cesar Amezcua, Broker and Owner at CA & Company, who has consistently been one of the Top 50 Residential Real Estate Agents recognized by the San Antonio Business Journal. Universal City is right across the road from JBSA-Randolph, attracting military personnel and their families. “It also has the new corporate headquarters for Randolph-Brooks Federal Credit Union,” Amezcua says. As Universal Park homes are so conveniently located near major highways and retail areas, the buyers' market is competitive.
Universal City Park has ahd a recent rise in planned neighborhoods and cul de sacs.
San Antonio new builds with large yards
Residential streets are lined with sidewalks and a mix of palm and deciduous trees. Properties typically include large yards, perfect for hosting barbeques and enjoying the warm Texas climate. The community has a mix of new traditional, ranch-style and Mission Revival homes. Most homes are in the $200,000s. In the Cibolo Crossing subdivision, emerging new constructions average four bedrooms and stretch into the $500,000s. Apartments are also available to rent, ranging from $674 to $1,795 per month.
Students are given many opportunities to excel at Judson High School.
Choosing a path within the Judson Independent School District
One of the school districts available to Universal City is the Judson Independent School District. It includes Olympia Elementary, rated B on Niche; Kitty Hawk Middle, rated C-plus; and Judson High School, rated B-minus. Judson High has a Career and Technical Education (CTE) department and an emerging Pathways in Technology Early College High School (P-Tech) program.

Universal City residents have a plethora of parks to choose from, including the namesake Universal City Park. Dogs can frolic and socialize at Aina Blake Dog Park and neighbors can picnic at Red Horse Park. For more outdoor recreation, locals can practice their swing at Olympia Hills Golf & Event Center and swim laps at the Olympia Neighborhood Association pool.

Retail and restaurants at The Forum & other shopping centers
Residents of Universal City don’t have to travel far for essentials. The Forum at Olympia Parkway, an outdoor shopping center, has a variety of restaurants including Sea Island Shrimp House. H-E-B and Walmart keep the area supplied with groceries. Movie buffs have easy access to the cinema at Regal Live Oak, which is right across I-35 from a new IKEA at Live Oak Town Center.
Interstate 35 and 410 converge nearby University City Park for easy access across stone.
Taking Interstate 35 to Austin
Universal City is about 17 miles from downtown San Antonio and about 63 miles from Austin, which is a straight shot up Interstate 35. Universal City is considered a car-dependent area and there are currently no bus routes in service. Of San Antonio’s universities, the nearest is Wayland Baptist University. The nearest hospital is Toepperwein Medical Center, less than 3 miles away. Though residents use San Antonio International Airport 12 miles away, living right across the road from JBSA-Randolph means aircraft activity from the U.S. Air Force is significant.

The Great Texas Air Show at JBSA-Randolph
From the holiday fair and tree-lighting to the monthly pancake breakfasts hosted by the fire department, Universal City has no shortage of community events. Additionally, the annual Great Texas Air Show at JBSA-Randolph features the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds demonstration team flying F-35A Lightning II aircraft. Locals look to the skies to see impressive displays performed by military and civilian pilots.

Universal city been living here for 6 years and so far its been great. At first it was in the middle of a forest but more residences popped and its now more of a suburb. There are still some trees but not as much as there used to be. The police and first respondents are top notch especially since this is a tri-city area where all units from each city support each other very safe.

Its a decent city, there are some things to do but for the main part you would have to venture outside of it to actually have fun.
