Home to over 30,000 residents, the Voorhees Township is a populous community in Camden County, offering a snapshot of quintessential suburbia. The community's sought-after zip code affords proximity to shopping centers, parks and highly-rated schools.

The Voorhees Township saw significant development around the 1980s with the addition of several subdivisions. Housing communities like Sturbridge Lakes, Partridge Run and The Beagle Club feature spacious colonials on moderately woodsy lots. Many houses have about 2,000 square feet and three bedrooms, while others have upwards of 4,000 square feet with four bedrooms. Prospective buyers will also find several split-level homes from the late 1960s and early '70s and new luxury condominium options at the Voorhees Town Center. Housing prices vary greatly, ranging between $300,000 and $700,000. The town's streetscapes blend busy commercial strips and slow-paced neighborhood streets. Many subdivisions have sidewalk-lined streets, speed bumps and low speed limits to ensure a safe walking experience.

Students attend Voorhees Township Public Schools, a highly rated school district with an overall A-minus on Niche. Children typically start at Edward T. Hamilton Elementary School, which touts an overall A on Niche and a student-to-teacher ratio of 13-to-1. Students progress to Voorhees Middle School, a highly rated middle school with an overall A-minus from Niche. High schoolers in town attend Eastern Regional High School. The high school has nearly 2,000 students who can join various extracurriculars, from science league and model UN to chess club and book club. The high school has an overall A on Niche.

For outdoor recreation, residents venture to Stafford Woods. Locals explore the woodsy respite by enjoying a game of disc golf or by strolling the nature trails that weave throughout. For more fun outside, bring the kids and your furry friends to Connolly Park. The sprawling park sports a playground, a dog park, a paved walking path and ample green space. Local athletes have a home in the Voorhees Township, and many flock to the Garden State Rotary Sports Complex. Various local leagues frequently play at the complex, like the South Jersey Rugby Football Club and the Cherry Hill Atlantic Little League. There are several baseball and soccer fields, tennis and basketball courts and a small rink for hockey.

The Voorhees Township is a shopper's dream. You'll find ample shopping centers throughout, with big box retailers, grocery stores, service businesses and restaurants. Head to Cooper's Plaza for shopping at Kohl's or the Cedar Hill Shopping Center for groceries at BJ's Wholesale Club. Another popular spot to shop is Berlin Circle Plaza, featuring stores like Marshalls, Home Depot, Burlington and ShopRite. The retail tour extends to White Horse Road, where you'll find more nationally recognized favorites like Target. If you're hungry, options abound. Each shopping center has restaurants and quick stops to grab a bite. A local standout is Black Olive Greek Cuisine, which features tasty favorites like gyros, moussaka and souvlaki. For more options, check out the buzz over Passariello's. The pizzeria and Italian kitchen boast an assortment of burgers, wraps and hot hoagies. The restaurant is most known for its hand-made pizzas made fresh in-house.

If you're looking for additional fun, the Voorhees Township is home to Big Kahuna's Water Park. While a hit during the summer, locals enjoy the indoor water park year-round. The park features a lazy river, several water slides, a pool and more.

Most residents drive in the Voorhees Township, but public transportation is easily accessible. Buses of the NJ Transit system frequently stop along White Horse Road and branching streets. If you need to catch a train, the Ashland Station is in the town's northwestern corner. The Port Authority Transit Corporation, or PATCO, takes you across the Benjamin Franklin Bridge to Philadelphia, 20 miles away. Access to Route 295 and the New Jersey Turnpike are within 5 miles north of most residents if you travel by car. The Voorhees Township is a buzzing suburb on the outskirts of Philadelphia, affording a world of its own.
