Suburban-style living on Weirton's north side
Bridging the northern end of Weirton’s central areas with the outer rustic areas of Hancock County, Kings Creek takes its name from the waterway that runs through the neighborhood. Pockets of homes sit along Kings Creek Road, a rural highway winding along the path of the water and connects to 12th Street, the neighborhood’s connecting thread to Pennsylvania Avenue and Weirton’s central areas. Residents may have to take longer trips for groceries and entertainment, but in return, a peaceful life with broad views of the Ohio Valley awaits.

Ranch homes and split-levels from the mid-20th century
Kings Creek’s first few homes were established in the late 1850s, but development in the area was most active in the 20th century, from the 1930s through the 1970s. New traditional split-levels and ranch-style homes are the most common properties here, often employing brick and vinyl shake siding. Market values generally range from about $85,000 to $170,000. “Most homes go under contract within the first 30 days,” says Lisa Hensley, a Realtor and associate broker with Howard Hanna/Mortimer Realty.
