Family-friendly living 6 miles from Fargo
The city of West Fargo's teal-colored water tower stands tall at the heart of the Eastwood community. Located amid a quickly developing area, this older part of town "continues to be a community with a small-town atmosphere. People look after each other here and we have great mid- to big-city amenities nearby," says Clark Jahnke, a local pastor at St. Andrew Lutheran Church. Homes in Eastwood are connected by wide sidewalks, and with plenty of young families in the neighborhood, having an elementary school and two different parks within walking distance helps to keep daily-life close and convenient. Families walking their kids to school or cheering them on at local sporting events are common sights on weekdays, while on weekends the local pool fills up with folks from across the area. With restaurants and shopping located within a short drive and city-wide events keeping the community active, Eastwood is a suburban community for those looking to settle right outside of North Dakota's largest city.

Relatively affordable ramblers from the '60s
Low-profile ramblers and fenced-in backyards are the norm in Eastwood, with a few traditional builds thrown in the mix from more recent decades. Built as early as the 1960s, most homes here are smaller than contemporary construction but represent a relatively affordable opportunity to purchase a property for under $300,000. Homes in Eastwood specifically tend to sell from as low as $215,000 to about $350,000. Trees in the neighborhood are older when compared with the surrounding areas, offering shade for residents while spending time in their backyards gardening, swimming in the pool or jumping on outdoor trampolines. Spacious driveways provide enough room for several cars to park at once, and multi-car garages help protect them from the area's snowy winters.

When not swimming, folks also play tennis on the nearby courts, or gather with friends for ice skating and hockey on the outdoor rink.
