Bryant Adams Park has an off-leash dog park and pickleball and racquetball courts. West Melbourne is roughly seven miles from the beach and less than 50 miles south of the Kennedy Space Center.

Highway, bus and airport connections closeby
Interstate 95 runs west of the city and has a dedicated exit onto New Haven Avenue. The 321Transit number 20 bus connects the area to Melbourne and other routes through Brevard County. Melbourne Orlando International Airport is the closest airport. Some of the major companies based near West Melbourne are located near the airport, including Northrup Grumman, Collins Aerospace and L3Harris Technologies. Medical facilities are in Melbourne and include Orlando Health Melbourne Hospital and Holmes Regional Medical Center.
While hurricanes can be a risk on the Space Coast, McKune says the area is lucky and that no significant flooding or heavy damage occurs when storms do come. West Melbourne also actively maintains its canals and waterways to carry stormwater away from the city.
