The Renaissance neighborhood of West Palm Beach has a Mediterranean influence that is visible in the architecture, views of the water, and its overall breezy vibe. “If we had a dozen homes to sell in the Renaissance community right now, we’d have sold them all,” says Shane Clarke, a Realtor with Keller Williams Realty Wellington. Copper roof tiles sit atop warm neutral-colored walls and arched entrances everywhere, with local flora decorating the landscape — even at the elementary school. Parking lots and community spaces are meticulously maintained by their respective agencies, and sidewalks are wide and even.

Early 2000s builds with appealing aesthetics

Homes in Renaissance are generally two stories with paved driveways and prominent attached garages at the center of the homes' facades. Mediterranean-inspired stucco walls, arches and red-tiled roofs are common on single- and multi-family houses here, with some variation in window style. The neighborhood was built in the 2000s, and each private community has features like clubhouses, pools, and secure gates. “The aesthetic is really appealing. The ponds, the lakes, the landscaping — the amenities are very desirable. More families are looking for ambiance, and that’s what you’ll get,” says Dwayne Barrett, a broker with Ibero Property Management & Real Estate Services. Single-family houses range from $450,000-$750,000, with a few homes offering more bedrooms and larger interior space for $900,000 and up. Townhouses and condos fall around $200,000-$350,000. HOA fees in the neighborhood are $200-$380 monthly.

Palm Beach Lakes' exclusive programs

Grassy Waters Elementary School, built at the same time as the neighborhood, serves the area’s pre-K through fifth grade students and receives a B-minus rating on Niche. Jeaga Middle School teaches Grades 6 through 8 and has a C rating. Palm Beach Lakes Community High earned a C-plus. Apoxee Trail leads to Grassy Waters Preserve

Right outside the neighborhood is Apoxee Trail, a hiking path that is part of the greater Grassy Waters Preserve, a 23-square-mile wetlands ecosystem. Grassy Waters Preserve is also the freshwater source for the City of West Palm Beach. Hikers may see great blue herons, white-tailed deer, otters, bobcats, and alligators here. Less than 4 miles away, baseball fans can enjoy Cacti Park of the Palm Beaches, the spring training home of the Houston Astros and Washington Nationals. Thai Haru for curry and lunch specials

Walmart Neighborhood Market and Publix are 2 miles away at the Lake Point Centre. Tanger Outlets Palm Beach is 6 miles away for more extensive shopping and houses outlet versions of designer brands.
