Picturesque living near downtown action
Along Brookhollow’s winding roads are meticulously maintained dwellings circa 1968, the year of the neighborhood’s establishment. “Every house is adorable,” says Heather Golden, associate broker and Realtor with J.P. Weigand & Sons. “It’s a super desirable neighborhood, so much so that houses can sometimes sell within a day.” But a charming setting isn’t the only thing the community offers. “It also has a primo location,” says Golden. “You really can’t beat how close it is to everything you need.” Brookhollow sits along North Rock Road, a major east Wichita thoroughfare known for its abundant shopping centers and restaurants.

Vintage exteriors and modern interiors
Sidewalks, shady trees and an assortment of home styles greet residents as they stroll the neighborhood. In addition to sprawling midcentury ranch-style dwellings, Brookhollow also has symmetrical Colonial Revival split levels, multi-gabled Tudor-style estates and brick facade Cape Cod homes. The interiors of these houses have also been remodeled in recent years. “They have the charm of an older house on the outside, but most of them have modern interiors now, and that’s increased the home value,” says Golden. With three to four bedrooms and quarter-acre lots, homes here cost anywhere between $500,000 and $700,000, a range above a Wichita home’s average $200,000 selling price.
