Suburban calm combines with urban convenience
Peace Haven’s convenient location on west side Winston-Salem, surrounded by main roads and less than 10 miles from downtown, is a large part of its appeal to homebuyers. “It used to be suburban. Back when it was first built it was kind of on the edge of town, but that area has changed and come up so much that it’s pretty close to just about everything now,” says Keller Williams Sales Manager & Listing Specialist Heidie Christie, a Winston-Salem local. “It’s close to the Country Club Road-Peace Haven Road intersection, which has a bunch of stores, and it’s proximal to shopping and dining around the Hanes Mall-Interstate 40 area, too.” Lane Young, a broker with Express Home Realty with three decades of local real estate experience, adds that the homes themselves, in addition to the location, make Peace Haven desirable. “You get a little bit of the new and a little bit of the old. There’s a lot of character in homes here, which is important for many homebuyers.”

Peace Haven’s largest homes tend to be Colonial/Greek Revivals or Traditional homes built between the late ’80s and early 2000s. Prices start at close to $250,000 and can climb to more than $660,000, depending on size, age, and condition.
